go to create content
image
pick which gallery and text and upload.
 
to add a gallery
administer
image gallery  then add gallery
name it  and then go to url alias(under site building) and make sure to copy url of given url  like(image/tid/7 and change it to pretty gallery name like gallery/2006
NO SPACES OR CAPitolS IN URLS
go to administer, site building, menu, primary links,
then add item at top. then under path use something like image/tid/7, then under the next part use something like Drawing or new work 2011  
when you are finished move it to right location.
 
 
to change homepage image
administrator, content management,  contents, edit and after dowloading new image, send to fck editor,resize  and finally make sure imput format has filtered  images and html checked.
 
 
to change the copyright, go to site-information and edit the footer.
